Dallas -1 1/2 +185 - 155 Under 5 -110

The Edmonton Oilers will travel to the American Airlines Center this evening to face the Dallas Stars. The Oilers sit atop the Northwest Division standings, while the Stars are currently in third place in the tough Pacific Division.

Dallas is riding a hot goalie right now as Marty Turco is perhaps the hottest player in the NHL. Turco registered his second straight shutout in Dallas¢ 1-0 victory over San Jose on Monday and has a 143-minute, 6-second scoreless streak. Turco ranks No. 2 in the NHL in goals allowed average (2.00) and is No. 4 in save percentage (.925) and No. 4 in victories (14).

The Oilers' mediocre offensive attack was dealt a severe blow when leading goal-scorer LW Ryan Smyth suffered a thumb injury. Smyth leads the Oilers with 16 goals, and his absence will drastically hurt the Oilers in the offensive zone as they only have one other double digit goal-scorer -- C Petr Sykora (12 goals). The Stars defense ranks No. 1 in the NHL in goals allowed per game, and Dallas should have no problem clamping down on the toothless Oilers.

In their only other matchup this season, Dallas beat Edmonton 3-2 on Nov. 3 in Edmonton.

Injury report
Edmonton: LW Ryan Smyth (thumb) was placed on injured reserve and is out indefinitely; RW Ales Hemsky (shoulder) is out until at least mid-December; LW Ethan Moreau (shoulder) is out until at least early April
